Superior and Masaba Resolve Disputes Regarding Superior’s Truck Unloader Patents

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, says it has resolved its disputes with Masaba, Inc. regarding Superior’s truck unloader patents. As part of that resolution, Masaba has been granted a non-exclusive license to manufacture, sell and offer to sell Masaba truck unloaders under Superior’s related patents.

According to Superior, low profile RazerTail® Truck Unloaders offer a portable solution for unloading dry bulk materials from belly and end dump trucks. Each unit is equipped with a drive over, grated hopper section to collect material and transfer it to an integrated variable height discharge conveyor. While maintaining its in-spec consistency, the material can be delivered to stacking or transfer conveyors, railcars, or barge and ship loaders. EachRazerTail® Truck Unloader is equipped with a set of self-cleaning ramps, to direct any overflow material into the hopper.

Superior Builds Longest Road-Portable Telescoping Conveyor

Morris, Minn. — Superior Industries, Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, has manufactured the first ever 210-foot (64m) road-portable telescoping radial stacking conveyor. This TeleStacker® Conveyor, designed and built for a frac sand operation in Texas, is the longest one of its kind ever built.

The 210-foot (64m) conveyor has a stockpiling capacity of 400,000 U.S. tons (363,000 MT), 30% more than any other telescoping conveyor on the market. According to Superior, the company’s solution is less than half the cost of a fixed or stationary tripper conveyor with the same capacity.

In addition to high capacity frac sand applications, operations that may benefit from a longer unit include sites that need to build inventory with large tonnage stockpiles and shipload applications. A 210-foot (64m) telescopic conveyor will fill a vessel hold more completely than shorter models.

New Razerlink® Mobile Conveyor From Superior Fits Multiple Applications

Morris, Minn. — Superior Industries, Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, completed manufacturing of its first Razerlink® Mobile Conveyor—a multi-functional machine designed to load, unload, transfer, and/or stockpile material.
According to Superior engineers, by combining mobility with telescoping conveyor technology the Razerlink Mobile Conveyor limits downtime and accelerates material handling. Additionally, one time handling of material aids in maintaining high quality material spec.

Each unit is tailor-made to the exact conditions of the customer’s operation, whether it be a barge, rail, quarry, mining or construction site application. Mobility options include conveyor tracks, drive tires, or towable tires. For applications not requiring telescoping capabilities, the Razerlink Mobile Conveyor can be fitted with a fixed length, radial, or luffing conveyor. The unit’s feed design can come in the form of a drive over ramp, back up ramp, or feed hopper, which accommodates most loading styles.

The units are built in 48-inch (1,219mm) or 72-inch (1,828mm) wide models and can transfer material at rates up to 1,500 TPH.
