Bulk Processing Whiz is Superior’s New Product & Applications Director

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, has appointed an accomplished industry veteran to a brand new leadership position in the company. Rodriguez, who recently came to the manufacturer after a long career with Weir/Trio, is Superior’s first director of products and applications.
 
“Anyone who talks with “J-Rod” feels his genuine excitement for innovative products and senses the depth of his understanding for technology in our industry,” says Jarrod Felton, president of Superior Industries.

In his new role, Rodriguez will lead Superior’s growing team of product managers for crushing, screening, washing and conveying equipment. In addition, the company’s seasoned team of application specialists will also report to Rodriguez.

During more than 30-years of service to our industry, Rodriguez’s roles in the manufacturing sector have included product development, sales, marketing and aftermarket for crushing, screening and washing applications.

Industry Veteran Hrbek Back with Superior Industries in Sales/Application Role

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, recently added Brad Hrbek to its domestic equipment sales team. Hrbek, who will celebrate a quarter-century of service to our industry next year, is Superior’s new equipment territory sales manager in the Southeast United States.

“Brad is well-known for his strong work ethic and vast knowledge of bulk material applications,” says Scott Gulan, sales manager for Superior’s equipment division. “We’re all blessed to have him back onboard our team and are excited for customers to benefit from his wisdom.”

 During the second half of the 90’s and early 2000’s, Hrbek owned and operated H&H Industrial Sales. One of the lines he personally represented was Superior Industries. After H&H, Hrbek started a 13-year career with Trio Engineered Products. As regional sales manager there he was responsible for sales support, processing plant design and application dissemination.
 
At Superior, Hrbek will participate in many of the same responsibilities and serve Superior’s material producing customers and crushing, screening, washing and conveying distribution throughout SEC country. He covers the U.S. states of South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. Hrbek currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with his wife, Shelley.

Superior Hires Phil Garinger For Sales Position in Central/Western Canada

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, recently added Phil Garinger to its sales team in Canada. Garinger, who comes to Superior from ELRUS Aggregate Systems, is the manufacturer’s new equipment territory sales manager in Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Additionally, he will support the manufacturer’s conveying and washing dealers in Alberta and British Columbia.
 
“After a decade in various positions at ELRUS Aggregate Systems, Phil comes to Superior with a strong background in both engineering and operations,” says Scott Gulan, sales manager for Superior’s equipment division. “His experience around crushing, screening, washing and conveying equipment makes him an asset to our customers in the region.”
 
At Superior, Garinger will develop and strengthen relationships with bulk materials producers throughout central and western Canada. He’ll be a resource to the hard-working men and women between the Rock Face to Load Out® segment of these bulk processing and handling industries.
 
Before a ten year career at ELRUS Aggregate Systems, Garinger had a career in engineering, including mechanical design and teaching. Currently, he lives with his wife Christine and their two children in London, Ontario.

Superior Schedules Dealer Open House for End of August

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, says it’s planning a dealer open house at its home factory in Morris, Minnesota. Known as IGNITE18, the two-day event is open to the company’s equipment dealers of crushing, washing, screening and/or conveying equipment. IGNITE18 is scheduled on August 28-29, 2018.
 
“It’s our first opportunity to meet as a large group since our big Rock Face to Load Out® product reveal at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2018,” says VP of Sales, John Garrison. “Our dealers are an important part of our future and we’re excited to reveal lots of new updates to our products and services. Guests will leave Morris informed, entertained and well-fed!”
 
According to Superior, events will include a hands-on tour of its company-owned gravel pit. The operation supplies sand and gravel to pre-cast concrete manufacturer and sister company, Hancock Concrete Products. However, the pit is also used as a showcase and proving grounds for Superior’s recently launched and developing product lines. In addition, all four product managers will share design and manufacturing updates, customer success stories and development plans for each product segment.
 
Superior is also planning an equipment expo, dealer program updates, aftermarket initiatives and marketing opportunities. Jarrod Felton, the manufacturer’s president, will give a keynote address to share exciting developments about the future.
 
Dealers have received promotional materials to save the date. During the middle of June, they can expect to receive communication related to registration.

Superior Industries and MIMICO Create New Partnership in New Zealand

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, says Matamata Industrial Machinery Imports Ltd (MIMICO) has been appointed the sole New Zealand distributor for Superior’s line of washing systems and conveying equipment. MIMICO’s sales and service operation spans the country, with head office in Matamata and branches located in Auckland, Paraparaumu and Christchurch. MIMICO has service agents in 15 locations as far north as Whangarei and as far south as Invercargill.

Superior and Masaba Resolve Disputes Regarding Superior’s Truck Unloader Patents

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries, Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, says it has resolved its disputes with Masaba, Inc. regarding Superior’s truck unloader patents. As part of that resolution, Masaba has been granted a non-exclusive license to manufacture, sell and offer to sell Masaba truck unloaders under Superior’s related patents.

According to Superior, low profile RazerTail® Truck Unloaders offer a portable solution for unloading dry bulk materials from belly and end dump trucks. Each unit is equipped with a drive over, grated hopper section to collect material and transfer it to an integrated variable height discharge conveyor. While maintaining its in-spec consistency, the material can be delivered to stacking or transfer conveyors, railcars, or barge and ship loaders. EachRazerTail® Truck Unloader is equipped with a set of self-cleaning ramps, to direct any overflow material into the hopper.

Mark Crooks Named Vibratory Product Manager at Superior Industries

Morris, Minn. — Superior Industries, Inc., a U.S. based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, has named Mark Crooks as its vibratory product manager. Crooks’ responsibilities will include managing and further developing Superior’s vibratory product line, which currently includes the Guardian® Horizontal Screen, Anthem™ Inclined Screen, and Intrepid™ Vibrating Grizzly Feeder (VGF).
Crooks brings 20 years of experience and an expertise in product management, business development, sales and channel management.
Previous to his role with Superior, Crooks held numerous positions at Terex Mineral Processing Systems including international dealer development manager, market director, and global product manager. Before Terex, Crooks was employed at Metso Minerals where he served as a product specialist and area manager.
Crooks holds a masters in business administration from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor of arts from Nottingham Trent University.
