Superior / Westmor To Conduct Walk-In Interviews On Lake Minnewaska

Morris, Minn. – Superior Industries and Westmor Industries — two growing sister manufacturing companies based in Morris, Minnesota — are taking their recruiting efforts to the lake (or “on the lake” in this case). In January, the companies will host live walk-in interviews inside a fish house on frozen Lake Minnewaska near Glenwood, Minnesota.

Company representatives will be available on Friday, January 14 and Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The fish house will be just off the shoreline from the Lake Minnewaska North Public Access Site. It’s located on Pope County Road 54 across the street from the DNR Fisheries Station and just to the east of Captains Bar & Grill in Glenwood.

“We’ve had tremendous success recruiting new people to our companies during the second half of 2021, but at the rate we’re growing again we need many more new coworkers in 2022,” says director of HR, Scott Arndt. “Our company is known for creativity and so we’re trying something different to get the attention of locals looking for stable work in clean, safe environments.”

While Superior Industries engineers and manufactures bulk processing and handling equipment for aggregates and mining operations, sister company Westmor Industries designs, manufacturers and supplies equipment to store, transport and dispense liquids and gasses. Together, the manufacturing partners operate from more than 20 locations in four countries. Their largest employee base is at headquarters in Morris, Minnesota.

“There’s no experience required for a new job here because we offer lots of paid training at the beginning and throughout your career,” says Arndt. “We’re looking for strong culture fits during interviews. Those are individuals who identify with our core values, work safely and enjoy serving colleagues and customers.”

Superior and Westmor provide employees with weekly paychecks, flexible scheduling, leading healthcare benefits, 5% 401(k) matching and ownership opportunities in the company. To learn more and see all their job openings visit workatsuperior.com or workatwestmor.com.
